I have the opportunity to go there this summer for seven weeks. I'm seventeen and this will be my first experience traveling internationally. It's a large program and about thirty kids my age go and they live with host families. Anyway, my question is: is it a safe city? I just don't want to be targeted for theft and things like that because I'm an American. Also, I just want to know about the city in general. Is it fun? Are there lots of things to do? How clean is it?
Thanks!

definite it is secure as long as you're not from now on a drug broking. San Luis Potosi is a medium sized, fairly mellow city. you're as secure as you're in the different city that length. The violence is particularly alongside the border, and is particularly directed at different drug sellers, and not in any respect gringos.

Just don't go to the ghetto part. Trust me the ghetto over there is much more dangerous than over here and the cops don't do anything.
